WHO ARE WE
Our mission at the Fly Hive is to create a welcoming and inclusive community space for everyone to practice and learn about fly tying and local conservation opportunities. We believe that fly tying is not only a rewarding and enjoyable activity but also a way to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding for the environment.
Starting in January 2023 our free community fly tying nights provide access to materials, equipment, and many experienced fly-tyers willing to share their knowledge and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate. By using these events to promote education, community engagement, and environmental stewardship, we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for fly tying, fly fishing, and wildlife conservation.
The Neighborhood Hive offers many options for snacks but feel free to bring your own adult beverages as this is an age 21+ event.

More than just tie nights...
In addition to the regular schedule, sometimes we leave the fly tying materials at home to learn from the experts about Utah's best fisheries, upcoming community and conservation projects, fishing and tying tips, and how to make the most of our volunteer efforts and time on the water.
